New Nightforce Optics 1-8x24 Scopes

Updated: Apr 19, 2018

Making their debut at Shot Show 2018, say hello to the new Nightforce Optics ATACR 1-8x24 F1 and the NX8 1-8x24 F1. In my video below you can see the two compared side by side to determine which one you want to add to your collection for precision shooting.

Trust me, you'll probably end up wanting to bring both of them home with you. But here are some key features to keep in mind.

ATACR 1-8x24 F1

  • F1 = first focal plane. First focal plane reticles do not grow or shrink in size as magnification increases, but it appears they do.

  • Length = 10.06"

  • Weight = 21 oz.

  • Built on a 34mm tube.

  • Available in Mil

  • ED Glass

  • Daylight visible illumination system but also has night vision compatibility.

  • Reticle built for both close range and long range capabilities with wind holds below the center.

NX8 1-8x24 F1

  • F1 = first focal plane. First focal plane reticles do not grow or shrink in size as magnification increases, but it appears they do.

  • Length = 8.75"

  • Weight = 17 oz.

  • Built on a 30mm tube.

  • Available in Mil & MOA

  • ED Glass

  • Daylight visible illumination system.

  • Doesn't have the wind holds below center.

  • Zero stop elevation adjustment.
